Science Experiment Results

We recently completed our science experiment, along with the procedure seen above. Let's look at the results!

white and yellow.png

First, we had the participant stand in front of both lights, and we asked them which one was brighter. There were a total of 51 participants. 7.8% said the yellow was brighter, and 92.2% said that white was brighter.

Next, we had the participant walk towards both of the of the lights, each one at a time, and told them to stop when the light was too hard to look at and was becoming uncomfortable. On the graphs above, the x-axis, shows the participant number, from 1 to 51. On the y-axis, it shows how many meters the participant got from the light. For example, participant 13, got 10 meters from the yellow light, where as they had gotten only 13.4 meters from the white light. It is important to note here, that in this case, lower numbers are better. Participant 13 got 10 meters from the yellow light and 13 meters from the white light. Meaning that they had gotten closer to the yellow light. This is implying, that the yellow light was easier to look at, as the participant was able to get closer to it.
